Lieff Cabraser Heimann Bernstein

Bold advocate for justice

No two law firms are alike. We’ve stood fast by this belief since we first began working with law firms. Yes, one can make broad characterizations that fit the legal category, but the devil is in the details. The most salient difference among law firms generally lies in the difference between corporate firms (those who represent businesses and governments) and plaintiffs’ firms (those who more or less represent individuals or groups of individuals). The dis on plaintiffs’ firms is that the focus on the individual is simply a hollow claim overshadowed by the “real” focus on getting rich. Nowhere is this less true than at Lieff Cabraser. In fact, their passion for justice is so deep and abiding that we made it the central focus of our design.

All of the partners of the firm were filmed in studio. Each was asked to talk about what justice meant to him or her. As remarkable as what remained in the short film is the material left on the cutting room floor. These interviews were deeply emotional and affecting. Their success at trial and as lead counsel speaks for itself, but their devotion to their clients and the causes they represent comes from their own lips.
